I've already covered this in an assignment, but 42 Entertainment's viral Campaign for The Dark Knight is one of the most in-depth marketing campaigns I have ever seen.

Every single one of these sites has some part of this campaign, although some have yet to take their part. Along with these sites, there have been real world scavenger hunts, political rallies, even a staged kidnapping and murder of a fan. This shows what really can be done with interactive marketing (if you had a GIGANTIC budget) and has made me more excited for this movie than any trailer could. Also, new sites are being found every week showing the scope of this campaign is huge.
